Coyotiv Diversity Scholarships: No Limits for Equality

Applications for the diversity scholarships are now open!

When it comes to equality, the tech industry is making progress, but imbalance in pay and opportunities still persists. At Coyotiv, we do our best to level this inequality and give everyone the opportunity to pursue their dreams regardless of their identity.

On July 4th, 2022 we will be starting our 9th cohort in the School of Software Engineering. As our 8th cohort approaches graduation, our students have been transformed—they are now more confident and skillful. Their enthusiasm proved that we made the right decision by being more accessible to people from communities that are historically underrepresented in tech.

We ran a more light-weight version of the course with Women Techmakers Berlin for 3 years as an initiative to support more women* and people with diverse backgrounds in getting into the field and help them build fulfilling tech careers. And in April 2020, we created our first full-time, 13-week, intense software engineering training program at Coyotiv School of Software Engineering.

We want to set a new standard for our industry and create a new, more equitable one. At Coyotiv, we know that by opening the doors to people from different backgrounds we can build a more inclusive, prosperous future for all of us. With many graduates now working as full-time engineers, we have seen the impact of sharing the knowledge can make. We are committed to sustaining this change for many more to come.

This is why we continue to give out diversity scholarships for every new cohort.

What do the diversity scholarships entail?

The diversity scholarships, once assigned, will cover the full course fee over the 13 weeks, for TWO recipients. Recipients will enjoy the same services and support as paying students.

As the course is virtual, there will be no lodging/housing or food stipend.

Who can apply?

You can apply for the diversity scholarships if you identify as part of a marginalized group, e.g. women*, LGBTQIA+ people, women* of color, women* with non-standard economic, migratory or social status, and so forth.
