From learning togetherto building together

Coyotiv brings together software platforms, products, engineering teams and education. The connection between them began with something simple: people sharing what they knew, then finding things to build together.

Armağan AmcalarFounder

Long before founding Coyotiv, Armağan Amcalar was teaching programming alongside his work as an engineer and technical leader. University classes led to software summer camps, beginning in 2011, and later to community courses in Berlin.

Across those settings, the focus went beyond writing code. It was about understanding problems, designing systems and developing the judgment to make good decisions when there was no obvious answer.

In 2020, that experience became Coyotiv.

At Coyotiv School of Software Engineering, students learn the craft by building things, asking questions and working closely with engineers who can explain the thinking behind their decisions.

The relationships often last longer than the courses. Some began years before Coyotiv existed. Former students became collaborators, founders and clients. A student from Armağan’s 2011 summer camp would later work alongside him as a CTO.

That is one of the parts of this story we are proudest of. People who first met through teaching and learning found reasons to keep building together.

Our work with companies grew from the same approach. We brought technical leadership and an engineering team into their businesses, helping turn an idea into a product and build the team around it.

We call this CTO-and-a-team-as-a-service. In practice, we join the conversations, make technical decisions together, build the software and stay involved as it goes into production. The aim is to leave a business with both working technology and the ability to keep developing it.

Today, technology, products, engineering and education are four connected parts of Coyotiv. What we learn in one changes what we can do in another.

The same thinking shapes our work with companies adopting AI: understand the work, help people learn, build what is useful and support it in practice.

A product you want to bring to life. A technical problem that needs solving. A team ready to learn something new.

We’d like to hear about it.
